The Security Network Munich would like to draw your attention to the following side event of the 55th Munich Security Conference, hosted by the German-African Business Association and the Hanns-Seidel Foundation:
Africa’s age of digital transformation: Cyber security strategies for governments and corporates
on February 15th, 2019 from 11.15 to 13.15 hrs
in the Literaturhaus, Bibliothek (1st floor), Salvatorplatz 1, 80333 Munich.
The topic: Digitalization is expanding at a rapid pace across the African continent, driving growth, innovation, and development. On the downside, critical sectors such as banking and ICT, but also governments, rely increasingly on safe digital infrastructure to perform their essential functions. Although of global concern, cyber security needs to be addressed with reference to Africa: not only from an infrastructure viewpoint, but also for igniting an intersectoral dialogue between all stakeholders including the African Union, European Union, governments, and the private sector.
The program: We are looking forward to high-ranking guests from regional organizations, governments, and entrepreneurs from both Africa and Europe. We seek to discuss how cyber security can be strengthened to ensure that Africa’s vast digital opportunities are matched with the corresponding safe infrastructure. Also, we would like to intensify and broaden the joint African-European discussion and facilitate cross-sectoral cooperation – in which the private sector cannot be left out.
Your participation: Kindly RSVP to Ms Richers-Mollie (email@example.com) by February 8th, 2019. Please note that participation is limited and exclusive for selected Afrika-Verein members. For further information on the side event, please do not hesitate to contact Ms Eckhard (firstname.lastname@example.org).
